Workshop: Introduction to linocut

£50.00

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at linocut printmaking? In this linocut class I'll introduce you to the basics of linocut - including the different tools, mark-making methods and what makes a good linocut design - and we'll carve and print our designs so that you have your own beautiful, bold print to take home.

Suitable for beginners, those who have tried linocut in the past and would like to pick it up again, or anyone who just wants to immerse themselves in this wonderful art form for a couple of hours!

The workshops will take place in the pavilion space at the James Street Tavern, just off Cowley Road in East Oxford.

Venue: James Street Tavern, James Street, Oxford OX4 1EU

Dates:

Tuesday 27th January, 7pm-9.30pm

Tuesday 24th February, 7pm-9.30pm

Tuesday 24th March, 7pm-9.30pm

Suitable for all levels, all equipment and materials supplied.

Please enter your email address at checkout and I will send you a booking confirmation and further details.

Cancellations

Unfortunately I can’t issue a refund or transfer you to another class should you have to cancel. As a small business the loss of income and additional work involved have too great an impact. Thank you for your understanding.

What previous workshop participants have said:

“I attended this workshop with a friend and we really enjoyed it. Sally was helpful and patient and the workshop and advice enabled me to order my own linocutting tools and start creating at home. Highly recommend!”

“Sally is a fantastic teacher, clear with her instructions and fantastically supportive when you feel like you need someone to hold your hand!”

“The workshop really has given me more confidence, and I’m excited for more printmaking!”
